It's a dry manicure done with an electric file, or e-file. Instead of soaking your hands, the cuticle and the dead skin on the nail are lifted and cleared with fine bits. Gel color can then sit close to the cuticle line, so the manicure looks neat and grows out cleanly.

It's a layer applied before color that strengthens the nail and evens out its surface, so gel color sits smooth. It's included in Manicure + color and Manicure + design.

No. The studio doesn't apply dip powder, Gel-X, acrylic or similar systems. For these, it only offers removal. Dip removal is a $10 add-on.

Long nails are $15 extra on manicures. If you're not sure which side of the line you're on, text a photo of your nails before you book.

Toes only covers toenail and cuticle care. A full pedicure adds a full foot treatment. Both come with or without gel color, and Pedicure + design adds a French or simple design.

Manicure + color and Manicure + design include one nail repair. Each additional repair is $5 per nail, and reconstructing a broken nail is $10 per nail.

Metal tools are sterilized in an autoclave, the same method used in medical offices.

Please make changes at least 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours are charged 50% of the scheduled service, and a no-show is charged 100%. All details are on the policies page.

If you're more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may need to be shortened or rescheduled, and may be treated as a late cancellation with a 50% charge.

Please come alone, unless it was agreed in advance. Children can't come to appointments. Pets aren't allowed in the studio; service animals are always welcome.

Please don't trim your cuticles or do a manicure or pedicure right before your appointment. It helps prevent irritation and lets the work be done as safely as possible.

Payments go through Square: all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App Pay and Afterpay.

Contact the studio within 3 days of your appointment. The issue is fixed at no additional charge, as long as there's no external damage and you've followed proper aftercare.

• Use cuticle oil once a day.
• Wear gloves for cleaning and dishes.
• Don't use your nails as tools.
• If a nail lifts, don't pick at it. Get in touch instead.

If there are signs of infection, fungus, open wounds, inflammation or severe nail damage, the service may be refused or stopped for your safety. In some cases you'll be asked to see a medical professional before booking again.
